Blender 2.49 b - Leistungsstarkes 3D-Paket ganz kostenlos

Professionelle 3D-Software wird in vielen Bereichen zunehmend eingesetzt. Die Freeware Blender bietet 3D-Modellierer, Animationsmodul und Render-Engine in einem Paket.

Blender unterstützt neben Kurven und Poligonnetzen auch so genannte NURBS und Metaballs – 3D-Objekte, die das Aussehen und Verhalten von Quecksilber imitieren. Mit Blender erstellt der Anwender dank der Morphing-Werkzeuge Keyframe-Animationen. Fertig gerenderte Bilder exportiert er nach Bedarf als TGA, JPG, SGI, Iris und IFF-Dateien.

Darüber hinaus hält Blender einen nützlichen 3D-Visor mit Rotoscoping bereit und erzeugt auf Wunsch Partikelsysteme und Skelette. Umfangreiche Auswahlwerkzeuge und Rendering nur für gewählte Ausschnitte runden das kostenlose 3D-Programm ab.

Fazit: Die überraschend professionelle Freeware beeindruckt mit einem riesigen Funktionsumfang und hochwertiger Bildqualität. Blender eignet sich hervorragend für wenig erfahrene Anwender, die nicht gleich Haar sträubende Summen für eine professionelle 3D-Software ausgeben möchten.

Die umfangreiche 3D-Modelling-Software trueSpace wird von Microsoft ab sofort kostenlos zum Download angeboten.

Ähnlich wie SketchUp von Google ist die Software trueSpace ist ein Werkzeug zum Erstellen von 3D-Modellen beliebiger Objekten.

trueSpace richtet sich allerdings eher an Profi-Modeller, da die Funktionen weit über den Standard hinwegreichen und die Bedienung nicht ganz trivial ist. So können Sie hochauflösende Modelle erstellen, die sogar begehbar und mit Innenausrüstung ausgestattet sind.

Seit der Übernahme von Microsoft bietet der Hersteller Caligari trueSpace kostenlos zum Download an. Hintergrund ist die Einbindung einer Virtual Earth-Funktion. Mit diesem Feature können Sie Ihr 3D-Haus direkt in den
Kartendienst einbinden.

Fazit: Früher 600 Dollar teuer, wird trueSpace dank Microsoft jetzt kostenlos ohne Einschränkungen angeboten. Somit bekommen Sie einen hochfunktionalen 3D-Modeller for free.

What is Vector?

Vector is a computer image file that uses paths with a start and end point. With a vector program such as Adobe Illustrator or Flash you can add or remove point or nodes to the path that will allow you to bend, twist, stretch, straighten the path into any object your heart desires. People often confuse Adobe Illustrator with Adobe Photoshop or don't know the fundamental difference between the two programs.

The alternative to vector graphic files are raster or bitmap based graphic files. Photographs or jpgs/jpegs, gifs, bmps, tiffs, pngs and many other popular computer graphic files are raster/bitmap based images which use pixels to represent an image. Each pixel in a bitmap has a defined color value and most photographs contain thousands or millions of pixels which comprise the picture. Adobe Photoshop is a raster based software program that allows you to edit raster files such as photographs. Vector graphics tend to have less colors and can be scaled

One of the advantages of vector files is that they can be scaled to any size and not loose their image quality. This is because vector files use mathematical calculations of the above explained paths to resize the image. Here is a visual example.
